Hamptons International Offers a Slice of Miami Magic

Miami is known as the Magic City. Located in south east Florida between the Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean, Miami has always been a popular tourist destination with a reputation for glitz and glamour.

Hamptons International is now offering homebuyers the opportunity to invest in two of the most stylish beachside developments. The Tides on South Beach is an art deco landmark and Chi on Sunny Isles, Miami Beach boasts one apartment per floor.

The Tides, South Beach

This art deco landmark, originally built in 1936, has been exquisitely refurbished. The Tides is a ten storey boutique hotel where its 45 fully furnished suites are now available for sale. Each has ocean views and full use of this five star hotel’s amenities.

Starting at 539 square feet, these are expansive fully furnished suites. Caroline Reid, International Director of Hamptons International said: “ The Tides is chic by the shore living at a world famous address.”

The Tides, South Beach is located just steps from the beach at 1220 Ocean Drive in the heart of South Beach’s most famous street for fashion, entertainment and people watching. Popular boutiques, nightclubs and restaurants are close by.

In 1997, The Tides was bought by Chris Blackwell as part of the Island Outpost family of hotels. Chris Blackwell spearheaded the revival of Miami’s South Beach with the renovation of art deco properties. Kor Hotel Group began managing the property in 2004, acquiring it in 2006 before starting the refurbishment. The Tides is the flagship of Kor’s newly launched coastal collection of resorts.

Owners will have the option of placing their suite in the hotel’s rental management programme where it can be made available for nightly rental when not used by the owner.

The Tides has some of the finest facilities on South Beach. Owners can enjoy the new La Marea restaurant, two lobby bars, swimming pool, fitness centre and the beach butler service.

Prices start at $820,800 (£412,400). There is a monthly administration fee of around £500.

Chi, Sunny Isles, Miami Beach

Located on Collins Avenue, Chi will have 38 one home per floor apartments each offering 4,700 square feet of indoor living space plus a further 1300 square feet of outdoor living space. These spectacular apartments will each have a private mineral water swimming pool overlooking the ocean, an outdoor summer kitchen and Indonesian style outdoor shower.

Chi is being developed by Miami based Bruce Goldstein and New York based Kevin Maloney of Ocean Palm Development who have teamed up with Sieger Suarez, one of the most celebrated architectural firms in south east America. Jaya Ibrahim, best known for his design concepts at The Setai on Miami Beach and The Legian in Bali will work with individual owners to customise each apartment to their lifestyle and design preferences.

Chi will also feature a lobby level Indonesian style pool with underwater music and poolside cabanas. The development will have a spa that offers treatments from reflexology to mud wraps and a fully equipped gym with ocean views. On the third and fourth floors is the Chi lounge with a zen library and an international business centre. The building also houses the Jaya Masterpiece, a climate controlled wine room where residents can store their most valuable bottles.

Those seeking ultimate luxury can call upon the services of the resident butler, a chauffeur driven Bentley and even private jet reservations.

All floors at Chi can be customised to the needs of the buyer. Typical floor plans include 3 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms. The gourmet kitchen and midnight kitchen feature Miele ovens, Sub Zero refrigerators with wine coolers, Franke sinks and taps. Bathrooms have Philippe Starck fittings.

Prices at Chi range from $5 to $6 Million. Estimated completion is late 2009.
