Hamptons International, one of the UK’s premier international residential agents, and a subsidiary of Emaar properties, announced today the acquisition of Lewis & Co, the Sussex based high-end residential property agency, in line with its strategic expansion plan across the UK.
Hamptons International has already opened five new offices across the Country in the last six months and this acquisition plays an important part in the company’s presence within the South of England.
Lewis & Co is one of the South’s leading estate agency’s, specialising in the high-end property sector and offering an extensive knowledge of the Brighton and Hove market. With offices in both Brighton and Hove, covering sales, developments and investment property, the agency has experienced rapid growth over the last two years in particular and has an extensive contact list.
The acquisition of Lewis & Co will take Hamptons International’s overall UK network of branches to 75.

As part of the acquisition, Hamptons International will retain all Lewis & Co staff and will provide a comprehensive portfolio of sales, lettings, development and property management services

Hamptons International is currently instructed on the King Alfred Centre Development in Hove, designed by Frank Gehry (designer of the Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum) where sales will start in the autumn. With 751 apartments and a £50m sports centre piazza and retail, the development looks set to have a significant impact on the local community.
