Hamptons International, one of the UK’s premier international residential agents, hosted a successful Town & Country property exhibition last night, Thursday 22 April, at its Grosvenor Square headquarters in London. The evening attracted strong interest from potential buyers, confirming that confidence is returning to the market.
The event showcased some of the finest properties currently on the market with Hamptons International from regions across the South of England including the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Surrey, Sussex, Thames and Chilterns and the West Country.
The evening was designed to provide London buyers, property investors and tenants with the opportunity to obtain first-hand advice from Hamptons International’s experts on moving to the country and investment opportunities.
Marc Goldberg, Head of Sales at Hamptons International, commented: “This is the fifth year we’ve run the Town & Country event and the response from interested buyers was better than ever. We are pleased to see that confidence is returning to the market and look forward to continued improvement in market conditions.
March 2010 was our best month since the peak levels of 2007 with applicant numbers up 19 per cent compared with this time last year. We are confident this strong start to the year points towards good trading months ahead.”
Hot on the heels of the Town & Country event in London, Hamptons International will seek to capitalise on interest in the UK market amongst foreign buyers with The Collection, a global roadshow of prestigious London and country-based properties. The event will profile superior London and country-based UK properties and developments for active buyers abroad. Events will be held in Dubai from 26-28 May, in Hong Kong from 29-30 May and on 2 June in London.
