Hamptons International, one of the UK’s premier residential agents, has expanded into Asia with the opening of an office in Hong Kong. The move follows several successful property exhibitions this year and will see the company introduce a range of new UK developments to the Asian market before the end of the year.
The Hong Kong office has been set up to provide the UK and international developer clients of Hamptons International an investment sales capability in the Asia Pacific region, while also offering unique and pre-qualified residential investment opportunities to Asia-based purchasers. Over time, the office will also operate a Sales and Lettings function for the local Hong Kong market and will expand its operations throughout Asia Pacific.
Matthew Tack, Investment Director at Hamptons International, commented on the office opening: “With the strength of China and regional South East Asia driving significant investment in London real estate over the past three years, the majority of London developers are now including Asia as a key part of their sales strategy.
“As well as enhancing Hamptons International’s Development and Investment offering to clients, establishing a business in Hong Kong will open up new referral opportunities across other business areas.”

The Hong Kong office will be led by Ginn Lai, a highly experienced real estate professional with a track record in commercial, residential and hospitality property sectors. Ginn will be supported by Richard Teoh, Sales Director and project marketing specialist; Serene Low, Marketing Manager and Gary Ching, Project Marketing Manager.
In October 2010, Hamptons International launched a highly successful three-day property exhibition in Hong Kong to showcase Grafton Way, an exclusive residential development in Fitzrovia, Central London. Throughout November, Hamptons International will launch a series of additional roadshows which will exclusively launch a number of new developments across London and the South of England to the Asian market.
